NEWS Love blanket

Hi everyone,
It is now coming into winter and we can again see the need in villages for warm blankets. Many of these people do not earn an income and are without protection from the cold. Especially the older people can get very sick. Our target is to source 200 blankets to bless these people. So far we have given out 103 blankets- very good. A quality, warm blanket here costs about 200 Baht (about $A7).

Thanks to everyone who has given these blankets for poor people. You are such good people and may the Lord bless you with all you need. Our target was to give out 200 blankets at the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010. As of now we have given 149 blankets, with 51 blankets more to go. Come join with us and free the poor people from this bad cold season.

Please consider how you are able to contribute to blankets or our seminar vision. For details on how to give you can go to our website at http://www.heartlandthailand.blogspot.com/. You can also contact Andrew Cooke on (07) 34231170 or at http://www.heartlandinternational.org.au/, or Jolie Hannah on 0400120986 or email jkhannah5@hotmail.com.

Thanks you support
God bless you,

Jat Har & Na Wat

My name is Jat Har Khuey Gail and I am an 85 year-old man. I live in the very poor part of the hills with my wife, Na Wat, and my daughter, Na Pat. She cannot speak at all. She has 2 girls who are 12 and 15 years old, but they live in the city. I really don’t know what they are doing there, and I’m so worried for them both. I need for them both to come back and go to school, because in Chiang Rai they are likely to get into gambling and prostitution, as this is common in that city. We have 3 people living in my house- my daughter has no job, and my wife and I can’t work because we have no strength. Somedays we are so hungry because no one will give us food. This is because in my village everyone else is poor as well.
